The bar, close to the congress center, is ideal for coffee breaks and snacks. The congress center also provides a spacious free car park for its guests.

Roads

You can reach the hotel by car taking the so called ASSE MEDIANO. Exit the airport and take the first exit on the right towards SS 554,then take the exit road called  OSPEDALI and merge onto the freeway through which you can reach the hotel, take the exit on the right before the second overpass.
Airports

The best way to reach the hotel from the Cagliari- Elmas Airport is to take a taxi or, as an alternative, take the bus to the station of Cagliari and then bus n° 8 that stops close to the hotel.
Public Transportation

The Idea Hotel Santa Maria can be easily reached by taking the bus n° 8 from the port, the city center or the train station.

Events:


 

The most important event in the city is the festival of Saint Efisio. Every year the statue of the Saint is accompanied by a  parade of  floats, devotees and pilgrims from Cagliari to Nora the place where the Saint was martyred. Hundreds of people join this touching event. Cultural events throughout the city last for a whole month but the climax of the feast is reached on the 1st of May during the parade. Another remarkable event joined by many national exhibitors  is  the Sardinia Trade Fair that takes place every year from 25th  April  to 10th  May.

The Idea Hotel Cagliari Santa Maria is located on the most important road of the whole Sardinia (ss131) it is only 9 km from Cagliari-Emas Airport and a few kilometers from the port of Cagliari. The famous Poetto beach can be easily reached without crossing the city. 
From the hotel you can easily head out to discover Cagliari’s main attractions either by bus or by car. It is just a few minutes from the Quartiere Castello with its well known narrow medieval streets and the Saint Michael Castle, splendidly decorated with azulejos. The Cathedral, that dates back to the XIII century, the Elephant tower,  the national Archaeological museum, the Roman Amphitheater and the suggestive Necropolis of Tuvixeddu, are also not to be missed.
The renewed area around the port hosts the Fair of Cagliari and  the annual Sardinia Trade Fair.
